FIRST SEMESTER (3 MONTHS) :

  1. Script-Hiragana, Katakana 
  2. Using basic Japanese adjectives, verbs, and adverbs
  3. 200 Japanese Word 
  4. Counting

Classes: Two days a week.  Prescribe  Textbook: Study Material to be supplied in class.

SECOND SEMESTER (3 MONTHS) :

SYllABUS :

  1. Different verb forms
  2. Listening Comprehension
  3. 300 Japanese Words
  4. 50 basic Kanji characters

Classes: Two days a week.  Prescribe  Textbook: Study Material to be supplied in class.

JUNIOR CERTIFICATE COURSE

FIRST SEMESTER (3 MONTHS) :

SYllABUS :

  1. Grammar
  2. 200 Japanese words
  3. Conversation
  4. Spoken and Listening Comprehension
  5. 100 Basic Kanji

Classes: Two days a week.  Prescribe  Textbook: Study Material to be supplied in class.

SECOND SEMESTER (3 MONTHS) :

SYllABUS :

  1. Grammar 
  2. 300 Japanese words
  3. Spoken and Listening Comprehension
  4. 200 basic Kanji characters

Classes: Two days a week.  

Prescribe  Textbook: 

  1. Minna no Nihongo (Text Book)
  2. Shin Nihongo no Kiso (Japanese Kanji Word  book)
  3. Minna no Nihongo (translation & Gramatic Notes)
  4.  Study Material to be supplied in class.

OBJECTIVE OF THE JUNIOR CERTIFICATE COURSE:

The student has to master the basic aliments of grammar, know Japanese alphabets (Hiragana & Katakana), around 200 kanji and 1000 words, and must attain the ability to engage in simple conversation and to read & write short simple sentences as well. The approach of teaching adopted is such that the students can appear for the JLPT (N5 & N4) at the end of the course.
